Ilona Gaynor
First Year

“Life is full of misery, loneliness and suffering - and it's all over much too soon."

- Woody Allen

I always wanted to be a film maker, but wanted to be a designer more.

I graduated from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in Moving Image Design feeling thoroughly dissatisfied and frustrated with the world it presented...

My fascination with societal dysfunction is what has led me to Design Interactions: People, machines, systems, economies, ecologies, infrastructures and politics. These factors are key; they continue to inhabit our lives, invisibly crossing over. Within these dark intersections are moments within which I want to play, reflect and exaggerate through technology mediated by storytelling.

I most certainly look forward to a future - whatever that might be. But, let's hope, it will be a deliciously imperfect one.
